Google Basics for Ranking Fast (Part 2)

This is one of the most common sources for this tag. However, Matt Cutts from Google has indicated that this description can be pulled from other possible sources, including different parts of the page that are more relevant to the keywords or from open directory projects. Generally, though, it is the META tag that becomes the description.

While the title tag should be limited in length, you can use the META Description tag to expand a bit about the content on the page. At a minimum, the description should be a full sentence long. It should not exceed a paragraph. Here are some good META Description tag practices suggested by Google:

Use the description to accurately summarize your page’s content. Since this may appear in the Search Results, it can have a huge impact on the amount of traffic you get from the search engines. Avoid stuffing this with keywords that aren’t relevant to the page. Also, be sure to make it readable as it could be the first piece of content that is visible to your potential visitors.

Create a different, unique description for each page on your site. Since each page is different, it only makes sense that the descriptions would also be different.

The Destination URL

The next piece of the snippet is the URL that you will land on. Notice how the page name is bolded because it matches the search term. Generally, it is a very good practice to name your pages with your main keywords to help Google know what the page is about.

9 Ways to Earn a Residual Income Online (Part 2)

Service Plans

Even if you don’t have a physical product, you can still create a continuity program with the services you provide. Lawn care, oil changes and technical support for a complicated software program are all examples of services that customers will need on a continual basis. Eliminate the need for your customers to reorder every time they need a service repeated by providing weekly or monthly packages.

Subscriptions

This is another continuity programs that works well for information marketing businesses. Provide up-to-date content to subscribers on a regular basis in the form of a digital or print newsletter.

Network Marketing

Many network marketing companies offer residual income to their members for signing up other people who order products on a regular basis. Look for businesses that offer a unique product that people need to stock up on periodically. The more unique the products are, the easier it will be to market to your niche and find your target customers.

Residual Affiliate Programs

If you don’t have products or services to create your own continuity program, you can still get residual income by becoming an affiliate for businesses that do. Many product owners will pay a monthly commission for every active member you refer.

Which Program is Right for Your Business?

Each of the eight continuity programs you have learned about so far can be powerful additions to your product funnel. At some point in your business, either immediately or in the future, one or more of these may become its sustaining force. But if you don’t have a business in place already, it can be difficult to find the time and money to start one from scratch. These continuity programs:

Require an upfront investment of time, money or both to create the products.

Have to be fulfilled every month – which means you can’t entirely walk away from your business unless someone is managing your continuity program for you.

Usually have an average retention rate of three to four months so you have to constantly find new members.

Require you to share the profits with someone else if you are an affiliate or network marketer.

If you are not at a point in your business where you can start a continuity program and have someone you trust manage all the details of fulfilling orders, then the challenge is to find a continuity program that you can set up once and then set loose to manage itself. But the ninth way to make a residual income – a micro-continuity program – will do just that. Micro-continuity is the fastest and easiest way to implement a continuity program in your business. It is extremely powerful because it solves all of the problems that traditional continuity programs have.

We’ll discuss some ideas for building the content for a Micro-Continuity program in more detail in a future article, but in the meantime, you can go to the DotCom Secrets membership site at http://members.dotcomsecrets.com for more articles. Just type

Simple Techniques to Take You From 6 to 8 Figures a Year (Part 2)

Step 2: Identify Subscribers

After someone has come to your website, the first goal is to figure out which of your visitors is willing to trade their e-mail address in exchange for more information. This concept is not new in the internet marketing circles, but often people still don’t do it. Always send traffic to some type of squeeze page or landing page where you can collect your visitors’ e-mail addresses so you can follow-up with them.

Step 3: Identify Buyers

This step is similar to the step above, but to appreciate it, you must understand something that Dan Kennedy once said. He said,
